His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam this afternoon received in audience Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia who is on an introductory visit to Brunei Darussalam.

During the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Yang Berhormat the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia touched on the enduring friendship and cooperation between Negara Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia that has continued to prosper over the years, with 2024 marking four decades of diplomatic relations. Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the existing collaborations in various fields such as economy, education, defence, tourism, culture, sports and health, and to further explore matters of mutual importance to both countries.

Accompanying Yang Berhormat at the Audience Ceremony was His Excellency Raja Dato’ Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam.

Also present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Audience Ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
